Photoshoot With Mr. Handsome

still needs some work done
Well, I started taking the Prednisone and it gave me a headache.  :(  But I had tons of energy and managed to start on a project that I've been needing to tackle.  I'm not much of a scrapbooker anymore, but I still collect all the pretty paper and cute little things to add to scrapbook pages.  And I still take pictures like a maniac because I really do plan on getting back into it eventually.  I have a Sauder storage cabinet with all of my scrapbooking stuff in it and it REALLY needed organized.  It's not organized perfectly, but at least stuff is put away where it goes for now, rather than just sitting in piles on the shelves or where ever I could get it to fit (though the top of the cabinet is still a cluttered mess, which is why I made sure to cut it out of the picture - LOL).  I'd really like to go through everything and get rid of stuff I'll never use.  The way I scrapbook has really evolved since I started this hobby 9 years ago.  The organization could be a lot better, too.

Ben is 8 months old today!  Every month since he was born, I've taken Steelers themed pictures of him.  We are HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fans and Ben (his full name is Benjamin Hines) was actually named after Preston's favorite player (Ben Roethlisberger) and my favorite player (Hines Ward).  So this month's photo included Ben's Steelers sleeper and Brandon's Steelers football.  Good thing he's almost a year old - I'm beginning to run out of ideas!  Props aren't a problem, we have TONS of Steelers stuff, but I'm just not very good at setting up pictures, and since he's a little wiggle worm now, it's not easy to get him to sit still long enough to take a great picture.  LOL

I may be biased but he's sooo handsome!

I've been really on track today!  Of course, I think my medication is curbing my appetite, which is okay with me!  LOL  Or I've just been so busy and occupied (thanks to the energy my pills have apparently given me) that I haven't had much time to think about food.  My back is still a little sore (was super stiff this morning and that really bummed me out) but hopefully the meds will start helping.  I'm planning on hitting the gym tomorrow, if things aren't too busy for us after the local Easter egg hunt.  I know Preston's cousin and her little boy will be in town, so tomorrow might be a family day.  I might be able to slip away for a few hours to work out, but I'm just going to play it by ear.

I've been counting every calorie I stick in my mouth.  I think it's boring, but I know it works and keeps myself accountable, so I'm doing it.  I was down to only needing to lose 35 founds to meet my goal - but after today's weigh in, it's back to almost 40.  :(  It makes me sad, but I know I have what it takes and I have a lot of inspiring people to look at for guidance and help and I think as long as I keep that in mind, I can gain control again.  I'm clearly NOT going to reach my goal by my first wedding anniversary next month, but I hope I'm closer than I am now!  :)

Food Log:
  • lunch - turkey and cheese sandwich (240)
  • dinner -2 chicken gordita supremes (540), beer (257)
  • snack -cottage cheese (120)
total calories:  1157
Did soooo much better today!  Being away from work and it's evil temptations and being super busy at home really helped!  :)  Also, I know it looks like I drink a lot of beer, but I usually only have one or two periodically (though more often that not lately, just because I LOVE an ice cold beer when it's warm out).  I'm just not a wine drinker.  I've tried, but it gives me awful wino-hangovers.  But really, I'm not a heavy drinker unless it's a social situation with a lot of friends or a public gathering, and lately those have been pretty infrequent.  :) Sorry...felt the need to explain myself, I guess.  LOL
